Current Projects | Completed Work

The site for this project is a south facing hilltop location, with wonderful views to the countryside beyond. The existing house on the site requires some upgrading and the Client also was keen to re-use the stone bothy on site to create additional floorspace.

We have created a new stone and timber link structure that acts as the new entrance to both buildings. the existing bothy will be stripped out with the roof being removed and a new oak timber roof and structure being introduced. A large double height glazed opening will be created to the south to make best use of the view and the solar aspect.

Various environmental features are included in the design with high levels of sheep wools insulation, wood chip boiler system and locally sourced timber being used.
