Dundee United FC Foundation Park
We have worked in conjunction with Dundee United FC and their stand supplier Lintons, to provide architectural services for a new three-row, 225-seat supporters stand. This forms part of extensive renovation work at the club’s Foundation Park (formerly Gussie Park) training ground, where women’s team and youth academy home games are played.
Andrew Black Design gained planning and building standards approval for the stand and also led the design team who supported the project.
Situated across the road from Tannadice Park, the stand at Foundation Park is partly funded by Dundee United Supporters’ Foundation and was completed during summer 2023.
The installation of the spectator stand will bring the facility up to a fantastic standard that will improve the experience for spectators but also mean that it meets the criteria required for use in the SWPL. It is a significant milestone to install the stand and Gussie Park, soon to be renamed Foundation Park, will now be a fantastic hub for our Academy as we look to continue the development of players for the future. - Luigi Capuano, Dundee United FC Chief Executive.
