We sought but never gained planning permission to construct a 400m² food store on Hawkhill, Dundee. The building would have replaced the existing car wash which has been in operation at this site on and off for the several years.
We saw the site as a prominent location in relation to the University and strived to create a stronger facade to the street to enhance the route towards the university.
Using a combination of high quality materials, the building would have provided a strong architectural presence on the Hawkhill. The corner to Annfield Road would also have been enhanced with landscaping giving it a greater sense of place.
