Allan Fitzsimmons

Allan joined Andrew Black Design in 2022 and has more than 11 years’ experience within a number of architectural practices. He has been involved in many project types at various design stages, through the construction stages and onto completion.
He possesses valuable design and detailing skills and has on-site experience working on a range of developments, from well-known UK retailers to national housing associations and private developers. Allan has been able to expand and pass on his design skills to others in the team, including the development of residential and student accommodation, commercial/retail units, education institutes, industrial units, vertical growth farms, brewing facilities, and motorway service stations for several large corporate companies. He is skilled in the management of procurement processes and in ensuring the team meet delivery targets on challenging project programmes.
Notable experience includes delivering projects for both 71 Brewing and MòR Beers as well as recently on-site offices, maturation, and bottling facility for Scotch Whisky Investments at their Glenrothes development.
In his spare time, Allan likes to swim, scuba dive (when on holiday) and attempts to play golf when time permits.
