Maturation Facility at Crompton Road, Glenrothes

The proposal is to develop vacant land near Crompton Road in Glenrothes into a Whisky Storage and Bottling facility for Scotch Whisky Investments. Utilising the South facing slope by gently cascading the buildings down the South facing slope.

The client wishes to utilise the site’s unique geographical location with good links to the A92 and M90 to allow the transport and distribution of aged products. The site’s purpose will be to hold cask whisky and allow the ageing process to take place creating high-quality Matured Scottish Whisky. Once matured the casks will be bottled onsite and packaged accordingly for distribution both nationally and internationally.

From the entrance off Crompton Road the main office facility will be located to accommodate administration staff and meeting room.

To the North of the main office building, it is proposed that a bottling and maintenance building is to be erected with accompanying yard access for storage of materials and any waste for recycling. To the East and South of the Bottling and Maintenance building it is proposed to erect two number cask whisky storage warehouses to allow the maturing of the whisky to take place.
