Whisky Maturation Facility at Crompton Road, Glenrothes
We worked with whisky asset management business Scotch Whisky Investments to develop vacant land near Crompton Road in Glenrothes into a whisky storage and bottling facility following the client’s purchase of 7.7 hectares of land at Southfield Industrial Estate.
The client wished to utilise the site’s unique geographical location with good links to the A92 and M90 to allow the transport and distribution of aged products. Once matured, the casks will be bottled onsite and packaged accordingly for distribution both nationally and internationally.
The development includes a bottling and maintenance building accommodating five members of staff and two large cask storage warehouses. From the entrance off Crompton Road, it is also proposed to erect a main office facility to accommodate administration staff.
